A SUMMARY
The skiing in Courchevel alone is just fantastic. The lift system and pistes are so well planned (of course the resort was created with the Three Valleys in mind).
There is something for everyone which is unusual in one resort. There are fantastic easy green and blues for adult beginners and children alike with gondolas which service them avoiding the need for chairs and drag lifts in the first few days.
Then there are pistes for intermediates as well as challenging runs and off piste for advanced skiers.
THE FACTS
As part of the Three Valleys ski domain it offers 600 kilometres of pistes and over 2000 metres of altitude.
In the 3 Valleys there are: 336 pistes. 49 green runs / 135 blue runs / 118 red runs / 34 black runs | |
 In Courchevel alone there are 62 lifts of which 9 are cable cars. There are 150 km of downhill piste.
There are 563 snow cannons installed over the whole domain ensure snow cover for the entire season.
There are 10,000 hectares of off-piste skiing.
There are 5 cross country circuits comprising of 58 kilometres. The green circuits are 2Km, the red 7 km and the black 8.5 km.
For children there are some gentle slopes with access by child friendly gondolas. Try Pralong on the Verdons and Jardin Alpin gondolas.
For snow boarders there is the Planetry now park, bumps at Biolley and at Les Verdon canyons and dunes.
